Nike has a huge anniversary on the horizon. Air Max Day 2027 marks 40 years of the Air Max 1, and with it the entire Air Max category. To kick off the celebrations, Nike is lining up the Air Max “Lost Samples” pack, a trio of sample and concept-inspired takes on arguably the three greatest Air Max models ever made.

Each pair twists a legendary colorway. The Air Max 1 reworks the original “Sport Red” with fresh blue accents on the tongue, eyelets and outsole. The Air Max 90 lands in a pre-distressed “Infrared” finish, complete with a scuffed mudguard and a faded midsole wedge. The Air Max 95 riffs on “Neon” with a black interior and orange hits on the lace loops and Air bubbles.

First surfaced at Paris Fashion Week, the pack is expected to drop in Spring 2027, likely around late March to line up with Nike’s pinnacle Air Max Day festivities.
