The colorway used the UNC look, a nod to the University of North Carolina, where Michael Jordan played college basketball before joining the NBA. The release ran through a SNKRS draw online, while a long list of European stores held raffles in the days before the drop. The Air Jordan 1 first released in 1985 and remains one of the most popular basketball sneakers. Today, the "University Blue" is mostly available on marketplaces such as KLEKT.
