Who is Vaquera?
Vaquera was founded in New York in 2013 by Patric DiCaprio. Today the label is run from Paris by DiCaprio together with Bryn Taubensee. Vaquera is known for an ironic take on fashion that the designers call “fashion fan-fiction”, playing with ideas of luxury, glamour and good taste.
Its early shows took place on New York subway platforms instead of classic runways, and that outsider attitude still drives the brand. In DiCaprio’s words, Vaquera makes clothes that unite people who see themselves as outsiders.
