The Off-White x Nike Dunk "Dear Summer" collection was confirmed by Virgil Abloh and later by Nike, but the release date was not confirmed when it was announced. Through the Nike SNKRS App, the full collection of 50 numbered Dunk models was shown. Early reports said that Lot 1 and Lot 50 would likely be for friends and family only. The release format was also unknown at that time. The Dunk first released in 1985 as a college basketball shoe. Today, pairs from the "Dear Summer" collection are mostly available on marketplaces such as KLEKT.
