The sacai x Nike LDWaffle in white was first shown in early leaks, but the release date was not confirmed when it was announced. Early reports only pointed to a release window between February and April 2020. Compared with earlier versions, the new pair changed the materials. The upper looked sturdier and had suede overlays, while the laces were made of silk with gold lace tips. Around the same time, leaks of other Nike releases for 2020 also appeared, such as the Air Dior Jordan 1 High OG. The LDWaffle combined two classic Nike running models into one layered design. Today, the pair is mostly found on marketplaces such as KLEKT.
