The Nike Air Max 90 Ohio State is here, and it comes with a football cleat. Nike made a lifestyle Air Max 90 and a College Max 90 Vapor cleat for the Ohio State Buckeyes, both in red and black and both carrying “Defend the Shoe” patches. The pack is part of Nike’s college football series for 2026.
Two pairs for the Buckeyes
Both pairs are dressed in the Buckeyes look: red slit suede on the upper, black on the classic Air Max 90 mudguard, and metallic silver patches on the Swoosh and the Nike Air branding. The Nike Air Max 90 ‘Ohio State’ is the version for everyday wear, the Nike College Max 90 Vapor ‘Ohio State’ is built for the field.
The first Air Max 90 cleat
The College Max 90 Vapor (JF3429-600) is the first performance hybrid of the Air Max 90. It takes the upper of the runner and puts it on a football soleplate with studs. Like the Vaporposite cleats in Nike’s college football series, such as the “Mummy Duck”, it turns a lifestyle icon into a game day shoe.
Lifestyle pair with Defend the Shoe details
The Nike Air Max 90 Ohio State (JA2109-600) keeps the shape and the visible Air unit of the original. “Defend the Shoe” patches sit on the tongues, and Ohio State emblems show up on the heel and the insole.

The lifestyle Air Max 90 releases on November 3, 2026, in the US through Nike SNKRS and the Ohio retailer Sole Classics. The cleat is already on the SNKRS calendar, but its date is still TBA. A European release has not been confirmed for either pair.
