Purple tones defined the Nike Air Max 90 "Hyper Grape", which released on January 30, 2020, for €140. The Air Max 90 was originally designed by Tinker Hatfield and first released in 1990, and it remains one of the clearest examples of the visible Air unit that Nike introduced with the Air Max line in 1987. Since then, the model has appeared in many materials and colorways and became one of the most influential sneaker icons of the early 2000s. The "Hyper Grape" edition brought back a bold purple look on the classic shape. It dropped on the same day as several other bright Air Max 90 colorways, including "Hyper Royal", "Turquoise" and "Volt". Stores across Europe offered the pair online and through raffles. Today, it is mostly available on marketplaces such as KLEKT.
