About New Balance 2002 releases
The New Balance 2002R traces back to the MR2002, a premium running shoe from around 2010. New Balance brought it back as the 2002R, keeping the N-ergy and ABZORB cushioning in the sole while pairing it with a more lifestyle focused upper, often in suede and mesh.
The model quickly gained a following, helped by the Protection Pack, which introduced a distressed, layered look with raw edges. This page covers those styles alongside general colorways in gray and earth tones, seasonal packs, Gore Tex versions and the collaborations that boutiques and designers have built on the 2002R.
In Europe the 2002R is sold through newbalance.com and many sneaker shops, so general releases are often available for a while after launch. Limited packs and collabs sell much faster and are frequently raffled. If you are too late at retail, marketplaces including KLEKT usually list pairs.
On SNKREMPIRE every 2002R release gets its style code, euro price, launch time in CET or CEST and a list of stores with links. Remind me sends you a push before the drop, and our Telegram channel, with more than 16,000 members, shares the store links the moment they are live.
