Nike x Sacai Zoom Cortez SP

The Cortez is a foundational shoe for Nike, it debuted just a few months after the Swoosh was founded and gave them the capital they needed to expand. Without the success of the Cortez, we might not have the Nike we do today. To celebrate fifty years of the Cortez and Nike itself, Chitose Abe’s visionary label sacai has laid its unique mark on the silhouette. Coming in the same ‘Forrest Gump’ colorway as the original, the upper features nylon side panels with brushed suede across the toe and eyestays. A crisp red Swoosh cruises across the laterals while sacai’s signature double-up aesthetic hits the collar and heel. A slight platform extends off the back before we drop into a foam midsole with an exposed Zoom Air unit at the forefoot. Finally, the Cortez’s signature Herringbone outsole completes the look.
