OFF-WHITE x NIKE Dunk are you ready for it?
With Virgil Abloh effectively moving on from his legendary “The Ten” series!
The streetwear/luxury designer is now on to arguably greener pastures with imaginative takes on athletic staples and now suddenly burgeoning skate classics.
While essentially dying around the turn of the last decade, the Dunk Low has more recently hit a second stride, turning over thanks to modern collaborations by iconic imprints Diamond and Supreme then now getting a more signature Off-White makeover.
Three colorways of legend will arrive:
With touch-ups by way of a second lace unit and imprinted type leavening it into something fit for the Abloh’s personal wardrobe.
The familiar panelling is left untouched thankfully, though the anchors that scatter across the profile remind of outdoor rock climbing through their colorful neon roping.
After a devotion to women’s running styles with the track-and-field inspired Terra Kiger and Vapor Street, Virgil Abloh is turning his attention back to the classics with a OFF-WHITE x NIKE Dunk. Today he shares a closer look at one of the three colorways, further displaying the imaginative wide-lacing set-up, vintage tongue labels, and signature Helvetica print on the medial side-wall. His tradition of scribbling the names of the first recipients continues as this pair is destined for skate legend Stevie Williams. All three of these revised Off-White x Nike Dunks are tentatively scheduled to release on December 20th, so stay tuned for updates as we close out the year.
